BMHD Welcomes Interim CEO, Margie Molitor

Margie Molitor has hit the ground running after only a week here in Grant County as Interim CEO at Blue Mountain Hospital District. Margie is a registered nurse and comes to us with 34 years of experience in healthcare administration. 14 of those years were spent serving as Chief Nursing Officer, and the last 20 years as Chief Executive Officer. All 34 years of Margie’s healthcare administration experience has been in rural hospitals like BMHD.

This is not Margie’s first time working in Grant County. In 2015, she spent 6 months here in the same role as Interim CEO at Blue Mountain Hospital District. “Being semi-retired, I can be selective about where I work.  When the board called me to discuss the opportunity, I was excited to return to BMHD.  I have very fond memories of my time here and it has been wonderful to see so many familiar faces upon my return.”

Margie spent her first week getting reacquainted with staff, meeting with supervisors, and getting a feel for the needs of the district. Her primary goals while she is here with us are; hire a qualified CEO, provider recruitment, and improve communication with both the district staff, as well as the community.

“I have a passion for rural healthcare;  Not only understanding the vital role the hospital district plays in the community economy but also the added responsibility to provide excellent care and service because we are caring for people we see every day, our neighbors and families.”

Margie is looking forward to her time here at BMHD and in Oregon. “Grant County is very similar to Wyoming so it feels very much like home.  When I was here 10 years ago, my daughter and I had a very memorable tour of Oregon, we loved it!  My husband and dogs hope to join me in January and I’m sure we’ll do some local trips at that time.”

The Board of Directors is excited to have Margie back in the building to guide them through the CEO hiring process. “BMHD has a very dedicated Board and employees who are eager to grow and meet the needs of their community. My ultimate goal is to help them accomplish it.”
