Blue Mountain Hospital – Phase 1 Renovation: FY25 CIP/CDS Funding Request

Background

Blue Mountain Hospital is applying for $4 million in community-initiated projects (CIP) funds – otherwise known as congressionally directed spending (CDS) – to renovate and modernize the Annex and Ancillary Buildings on the main hospital campus. Our proposal will allow the hospital to make a significant investment in these buildings, which will enhance patient care and health outcomes for the entire community.

Why is this needed?

These facilities are currently underutilized due to their age and condition. Our aim is to update the facilities with new tenant improvements that will allow us to stage the future renovation of the main hospital campus.

    Our proposal

This project is a comprehensive renovation of two existing buildings on the hospital campus with new tenant improvements that aim to modernize the facilities and create an optimal healthcare environment for our residents. Common areas, patient services, restrooms, and staff rooms will be completely renovated, along with exterior improvements to the building facades, landscaping, paving, and ADA accessibility. We also anticipate updating the building's HVAC and installing energy-efficient lighting/fixtures to reduce the operating costs of both facilities, allowing us to dedicate more time and money to patient care.
