About:

Keith DeHart is a chaplain with Blue Mountain Hospice team. He primarily walks with people and their families through the death process that brings up many difficult questions, feelings, and experiences. His greatest joy in this role is the opportunity to help people from a variety of lifestyles and belief systems to find comfort and peace in the face of death. He considers it an honor and a privilege to be invited into this intimate and often unsettling time for people and their families.

Keith received his degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Science from Oregon State University and worked as a fish biologist for 13 years in Grant County. During this career, Keith sensed God calling him into the gospel ministry in the local church, which led him to pursue pastoral training. This opened the door to his current role of serving as Co-Pastor of Prairie Baptist Church (Prairie City, OR) and chaplaincy at BMH Hospice. Keith greatly enjoys helping people and has found a deep sense of purpose in his life as he has begun ministering to people's spiritual needs.

Keith is currently continuing his education through the pursuit of a Master of Theology at Western Seminary.
